The life expectancy of our jewelry will depend on how a piece is treated. With proper care your pieces will last for many years. To ensure a long lasting life we recommend:

1. Regularly use a polishing cloth to prevent tarnishing and to maintain shine.

2. Limit exposure to harsh chemicals that may tarnish your jewelry. Lotions, perfume, salt water, etc. In order to do this we recommend removing your jewelry whenever bathing or swimming.

3. When not being worn, store it in a protective box. This will prevent exposure to any possible harmful chemicals listed above.

Cleaning

PRECIOUS METALS

To keep your jewelry looking radiant, we recommend using a jewelry polishing cloth to rub in one direction.
Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean metal as they can cause scratching.

GEMSTONES

Many natural gemstones can be quite delicate. Hot water, harsh chemicals and cleaners should be avoided at all times.
Clean your gemstones with a clean, soft, damp cloth after wearing. You can use dishwashing liquid and warm water.

Leather

While cleaning your leather like our gloves may not be necessary all the time, implementing the utmost care is always necessary when the time comes. Applying the wrong chemicals or using the wrong tools can ruin the color and overall integrity of the leather.

Simply dilute your leather cleaning solution with lukewarm water and apply it with a spray bottle or lint-free cloth. If you are dealing with a noticeable stain, there’s no need to scrub or rub. Gentle wiping should do the trick.

Clean hands are a must! Natural human oils can cause discoloration.

Be sure not to put your gloves in the washer or dryer or use a sponge to clean them. This can warp the leather and cause unwanted pilling!

How to store your jewelry & leather goods

Storing

Fine jewelry should be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and ideally somewhere with low humidity to avoid tarnishing silver.

Multi-level jewelry boxes with drawers and dividers are good for storing expensive jewelry and protecting it from dust.

Leather goods

When storing, keep your leather gloves in a well-ventilated dark, dry area. This will allow the leather to stay supple and avoid mold and mildew. Sunlight will dry out and age the leather. So don’t leave them on your car dashboard on hot sunny day!
